Summer Fun

Hello Everyone,

 What a great time of year! I love all the summer concerts, festivals and the way our city is alive with activity, there are never ending ways to support the arts during the long days of Idaho summers. SFM has been busy playing as often as possible and I love the way the new music sounds live.

This past month my studio time has been 100% dedicated to the vinyl release of Eponym. I have never released anything on vinyl and I have learned so much, it makes me want to start a collection of my own! I have labored over song choices, length, etc… and in the end, in order to preserve the integrity of the sound, the vinyl will end up being very different from the dual CD. I am proud of how it turned out and I hope it will exceed expectations for all my vinyl loving fans.

I have had the great pleasure of working with many talented musicians so far and this past month was no exception, I feel honored that they keep accepting my invitations to come join the Eponym team. This month has included Randy Meenach (pedal steel), Lindsey Hunt (violin and vocals), Bernie Reilly (Bass) & Louis McFarland (drums) to name a few. All very talented artists with their own projects, I encourage you to check them all out!

Eponym has brought a change of sound for me and I have been encouraged to go back to my roots, the piano. I write and perform with my guitar, but my first instrument was the piano. My mother is a pianist and she ensured all her sons learned to play at a very young age. It has re-energized my love for the sound, listen for it on Eponym.

Recording and performing, that’s my summer! If any of you make it out to a show, please be sure and say hello, I would love to see you and thank you for this amazing opportunity you have all given me.
