Christopher Cross’s debut self-titled album came out in 1979. The album hit the sweet spot. Three tracks ended up on the Billboard Hot 100, including “Ride Like the Wind”, “Sailing”, “Never Be The Same”, and “Stay You’ll Be Mine”. The 5 Grammy Awards followed. Currently, he is the only musician in history to win all 4 General Field awards in a single ceremony.
