Hear what it's all about

Steve Fulton is a personable fingerstyle acoustic guitarist in an Americana, Modern Folk singer songwriter style with a Funky twist! Think John Prine meets Elliot Smith meets Glen Hansard. From Non Fiction to Metaphor and attention to a strong melody Steve can stand alone or with one of his combos. This page highlights his trio.

Steve draws from the likes of acoustic-based folk/roots artists like Bob Dylan and John Prine, as well as modern influences such as Bruce Cockburn and Elliot Smith. The common thread of these influences is the acoustic guitar, featured front and center.

About

Over the course of decades, Steve progressed through many different eras of music and landed on the folk and rock styles mentioned. Parallel to making music, he was also working with other individuals and bands to produce their own records as the owner and operator of Audio Lab Recording Studios (est. in 1992). Much of the music performed in his own studio also had an impact on his own work.

Fulton has also opened for Bruce Cockburn, Tori Amos, Jewel, Shaun Colvin, John Hiatt, Michael Franti and the Wallflowers to name a few.

Latest Album, The Birdhouse released April 2023.
