Steve Fulton is a long time singer-songwriter, producer and recording engineer based in Boise Idaho, where he owns and operates Audio Lab recording studios (www.audiolab.org).
For 12 years Fulton was singer, guitarist and principal songwriter in the group House of Hoi Polloi in which time they released five albums and toured the northwest extensively.
Steve currently performs under the name SFM-Steve Fulton Music having released 3 Records on his Uncommon Records label, Shock Remission, Said & Heard and, Eponym. Eponym was the #1 seller at independent record store, The Record Exchange in 2016.
Fulton has also opened for Bruce Cockburn, Tori Amos, Jewel, Shaun Colvin, John Hiatt, Michael Franti and the Wallflowers to name a few.
-Steve was the recipient of The Idaho Commission on the Arts Fellowship Grant in 2009 as well as the Mayor's Choice award that same year.
-Steve has been nominated Best Musician in Boise twice over the last 3 years.
-Fulton's former band, House of Hoi Polloi, was recognized as 'Best Band' in Boise 7 years in a Row in the mid 90's from 3 different publications.
Fulton has dedicated his life to music which includes always maintaining the willingness to perform at benefit concerts, serve as mentor to young musicians and aspiring engineers, and provides job-shadowing opportunities and internships. His passion is helping encourage young musicians frequently hosting workshops, recording sessions and field trips for up and coming musicians and engineers.
